Student Accounts

Welcome to the Student Accounts Office!

This web page is intended to help you understand who we are and what we do for you. The Student Accounts Office bills and collects tuition, residential and non-residential fees, additional lodging, and other institutional related charges.

It is the mission of the Student Accounts Office at Pacifica Graduate Institute to provide support and assistance for students in meeting these financial obligations while pursuing their education.

Here are some general tips on how we operate:

• If you have questions, do not be afraid to ask.
• Know when payments are due and make sure you understand our payment and refund policies.
• You may access your student account information and make online payments 24/7 through your my.pacifica account.
• We send official communication to students via e-mail at your my.pacifica.edu email address.

• Always read your my.pacifica.edu e-mails.

If you have questions, please e-mail me at lackler@pacifica.edu. Best wishes to you as you continue on your educational journey!

Payments and Payment Schedules

Pacifica’s annual tuition and fees are billed quarterly. Tuition and residential/non-residential fees are due 14 days prior to the first day of class for each quarter for all continually enrolled students. All other fees are due before the end of the month in which the billing was received. To ensure continued enrollment in a program, students must pay their student account balance on a timely basis.

Quarterly Tuition and fees, not covered by Financial Aid funds, must be paid in full 14 days prior to the first day of class for each quarter.

Students may make payments either by check or by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express {AMEX} or Discover). To pay via credit card, go online to your "my.pacifica.edu" account. Once you have logged in, look at the left-hand side of the screen, and click on ‘Online Payment’.

A late fee of $100 will be assessed to student accounts each quarter if payment for tuition and residential/non-residential fees is not received by Pacifica Graduate Institute, by the end of the first day of the quarter. Interest may also be added to overdue accounts at the rate of 10% per annum.

Financial Aid E-Refunds

Pacifica is now disbursing all financial aid refunds through

Sallie Mae’s Business Office Solutions.

You have the option of receiving your refunds

through Direct Deposit, Debit MasterCard,

 or Paper Check processing.

All refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days after the financial aid funds are received from the lender. If you do not sign up for the debit card or direct deposit process, a paper check will be mailed to you directly from Sallie Mae Business Office Solutions approximately 14-days after the funds are received from the lender. To determine your anticipated financial aid disbursement schedule, log on to the financial aid online web site at https://finaid.my.pacifica.edu and go to the disbursements tab.

By selecting the debit card or direct deposit, you will save time and get your money faster, with no more waiting for:

      • the check to arrive in the mail
      • a trip to the bank to deposit the check
      • the funds to clear
      • waiting for a replacement check should the first check get lost in the mail

Due to federal banking regulations, if you choose the direct deposit option, you must provide a US bank account, or if you choose the debit card option, you must have a US address.

Click here and you will be directed to Sallie Mae’s Business Office Solutions web site where you may begin the activation process. Once your account is activated, from the Sallie Mae Business Office Solutions website, you may:

      • View the status of your disbursement through Sallie Mae's online platform.
      • View and manage your debit card balance, if you have chosen this option.

Signing up for the Sallie Mae Debit MasterCard® card is the fastest way for you to receive your disbursement. You:

      • Must have a US bank account
      • May transfer your balance into a bank account of your choice from the online application.
      • May make purchases anywhere that Debit MasterCard® is accepted.
      • May withdraw money surcharge-free at any Allpoint™ ATM machine. Go to http://www.allpointnetwork.com/ and enter your zip code to find the surcharge-free ATM closest to you!

Once the card is in your possession, any time you are due another financial aid disbursement, your card will be loaded within 5-7 business days! No waiting for a check in the mail or waiting for the funds to clear your bank account!

As with any debit card, you must be aware of some of the hidden fees. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions

If you do not sign up for the above debit card or direct deposit process, you will receive paper checks in the mail directly from Sallie Mae Business Office Solutions.

Note: SallieMae will communicate with participants through email. Therefore, each student enrolling must have a valid and active Pacifica Email Account to participate.
