In a lifetime dedicated to understanding the great mythologies
of mankind, Joseph Campbell was always clear that these sacred
stories were at the heart of the human psyche. They were never
to be studied as dry, academic curiosities, but instead he
insisted that they were vital and relevant to each of us,
in our own lives, right now.
In this centennial year of Campbell's birth, we invite you
join us in working with myth just as he taught us. Here at
Pacifica, where Campbell's personal archives are housed, we
will each undertake a Hero's Journey right to the
center of "our own hearts."
This three-day process of active dialogue between the great
archetypes and the figures of our own psyche will give each
of us the chance to experience the power, beauty, and profundity
of myth that was Joseph Campbell's greatest legacy and gift
to us. |
