In accordance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, annual reports of crime statistics and campus policies concerning crime and security on campus are made available to all students and staff. Detailed information is provided to each student via the Student Handbook and distributed to staff each fall quarter.
It is our mission to provide students and staff at Pacifica’s campuses with a safe and secure environment in which to work and learn. Any crime or emergency shall be reported immediately to the Campus Security ext. 114, or dialing 805.896.1884, or if after 11:00 P.M. by dialing 805.896.1886. For tips on how to report a crime, please refer to our Emergency Preparedness Manual linked below on page 11.
Security is monitored 24 hours a day. Pacifica enforces a 10:00 P.M. curfew on all campuses. All buildings on each campus are locked and patrolled throughout the night.
Any member of security or any other campus official may be contacted to report a crime or other emergency. Local authorities and/or the Campus Security Official will then be notified as necessary. As in any emergency situation, call 9-1-1 for assistance. At the Ladera Campus and the Best Western Inn, crimes shall be reported to the respective Administration Official, who, in turn, will notify local law enforcement and/or Campus Security.
Historically, the residential location of Pacifica campuses and the adult student population support a crime free environment.
The reports below illustrate the actual number of crimes reported to campus authorities. The crime statistics are broken into the following four groups: offenses that occur on campus, offenses that occur in or at a non-campus building, offenses that occur in the residence halls and offenses that occur on public property areas contiguous to the campuses.
