Pacifica Graduate Institute's two-year graduate degree program in Humanities engages students in an imaginative, activity-based, and personalized curriculum. It opens doorways to understanding common patterns in human life through mythological themes and then follows those themes as they appear in history, the arts, music, literature, and philosophy. As a humanities program, it is unique in that it infuses the educational experience with story, symbol, and metaphor.

By combining the disciplines of education, mythology, and depth psychology into one field of inquiry, this program honors the imagination as well as the intellect, blends technical expertise with deepened conversations, and respects the needs, strengths, and varied interests of the adult learner. Areas of study include:

Mythology
Depth Psychology
Education

This degree program combines online distance learning with two on-campus weeks in residence each year. It offers students both the convenience of learning from home and the benefit of valuable on-campus experiences during which they will be able to join classmates from around the world in forming professional collaborations and networks of like- minded individuals.
