Pacifica at Eranos

The village of Ascona is on the shore of Lake Maggiore near the Swiss/Italian border. Eranos is also on the lake, a 15-minute boat ride from Ascona. In this photograph, it would be located just to the right of the town.
Writing is a means of re-membering disparate parts of our past, of congealing various dimensions of our emotional and intellectual life and of sorting through what one thinks or believes about ideas, images, self, embodiment. Writing allows for reconstructing dimensions that have been severed from one another. Writing is also a means of healing through both remembering and forgetting.
By exploring and recording one’s story, one’s history, one’s wounds and one’s spiritual and incarnated being, this week-long series of talks and writing exercises will allow the myth that one is living to gain greater clarity through the features that comprise it, now made available through written language. Be inspired to work as extraordinary others have worked in the beautiful setting of Eranos at this writer’s retreat.
Please bring a journal that you will use throughout the workshop and beyond. Choose a journal that is aesthetically attractive, that invites you to record seeds of your life story and that will serve you in the future.
