Rights
Pacifica
Graduate Institute is in compliance with the Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended in 1990, 1992, 1994,
1995, and 1996, guaranteeing students the right to inspect
and review their education records, have some control over
the disclosure of information from their education records,
and seek to amend education records.
Pacifica
is also in compliance with the Student Right-To-Know and Campus
Security Act of 1990, which requires the disclosure of data
on crimes committed on campus and campus safety policies and
procedures. Information may be obtained from the Safety Office.

Withdrawal
Policy
Students
wishing to withdraw from Pacifica Graduate Institute are required
to submit a letter of withdrawal to the Office of the Registrar.
Upon receipt, the Registrar will notify the appropriate departments.
The Refund Policy will be administered by the Finance Office.
Refundable
Tuition Policy
1. Students withdrawing from Pacifica:
To be eligible for a refund, written notification must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. The date of withdrawal will be determined by the date written notification is received. Students withdrawing from Pacifica after instruction has begun will receive a pro rata refund of the tuition charges as stated below.

2. Students dropping or withdrawing from a course:
To be eligible for a refund, a completed Request to Drop a Class Form must be received by the Office of the Registrar. The date of withdrawal will be determined by the date written notification is received. Students dropping or withdrawing from a course will receive a pro rata refund based on a “per unit tuition calculation”* as specified below.

| **”Per unit tuition calculation”: the sum of the annual tuition in the specific program divided by the annual units offered in that program multiplied by the number of units for the class. |
Refundable Residential/Non-Residential Fee Policy
To be eligible for a full refund, written notification must be submitted to the Housing Department at least seven (7) days prior to the beginning of on-site instruction.
For those students who attend a portion of their on-site instruction or do not provide sufficient notice, the refund will be prorated based upon the number of days of on-site instruction in the quarter, up to and including the date written notification is received.
If the school cancels or discontinues an on-site course, the student will receive a pro rata refund of the Fee.
