Access: Visits to the Archives can be arranged by advance appointment with the Library staff and are allowed under supervision. Handling of materials is managed by the Library staff. Scholars may make notes during review of materials for reference purposes, but quotations over one hundred words require permission from the Library Director or the Special Collections Librarian. Any substantial quoting (over 500 words) will require explicit permission from James Hillman and would require the appropriate copyright royalty payments. Works involving extensive paraphrasing or presentation of ideas representing substantial intellectual property of the author (e.g. James Hillman) would require permission and written agreement regarding sharing of royalties. Photocopying of unpublished material is not allowed.
