Public Programs at Pacifica Graduate Institute

Pacifica is dedicated to cultivating and harvesting the gifts of the human imagination so that these insights may be brought to bear upon the personal, cultural, and planetary concerns of our era. As with the Graduate Degree Programs, Pacifica's Public Programs explore the fields of psychology and mythological studies through the lens of depth psychology. Programs cover a wide range of topics from humanities and culture to counseling and clinical psychology.

The Public Programs Department offers lectures, seminars, intensives, certificate programs, and conferences designed for the adult learner who is interested in the subject matter but not necessarily interested in pursuing a graduate degree. Most of the public programs offer continuing education units for professionals in the field. These events are open to the general public with the intention of bringing Pacifica's educational resources to the wider community. Held at Pacifica's Campuses, the programs feature Pacifica faculty and well-known guest presenters.

Continuing Education Credit

Most public programs offer continuing education credits for professionals in the field. Pacifica is an approved provider for continuing education credit for MFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs through the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (provider #67021), for RNs through the California Board of Registered Nurses (provider #CEP 7177), and for psychologists through the California Psychological Association (provider #PAC014). Pacifica Graduate Institute maintains responsibility for the programs and their content. Full attendance at the programs is required to receive a certificate.
