Clifford Mayes, Ph.D., Psy.D., was a professor of educational psychology at Brigham Young University until his recent retirement. He wrote the first book-length study of Jung and education and since then has written four more books on the topic and 40 scholarly articles. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Utah in The Cultural Foundations of Education and a doctorate in psychology from Southern California University for Professional Studies. Cliff grew up in a highly multicultural setting with a population comprised of Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, African Americans, and Caucasian Americans in the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona, in the 1950s and 1960s. He taught at universities in Panama and Japan throughout the 1980s and speaks Spanish.
