Leon is CEO and President of Strategic Learning Partners, an evaluation and community centered social innovation design collaborative. Dr. Caldwell is an award winning nationally recognized scholar-activist who has conducted community capacity building projects for the Federal Agencies, Non-Profits, Foundations, and educational and health systems. He has been an evaluation manager at the Annie E. Casey Foundation and an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and the University of Memphis. Dr. Caldwell's publications are in the areas of Black males and mental health, Black Fatherhood, professional ethics, multicultural psychology, Youth Development, violence prevention, and community based research. He has designed interventions for schools and communities nationally. Leon, a native of West Philadelphia, earned a BA in Economics and M.Ed in Secondary School Counseling from Lehigh University. He earned a Ph.D. from Penn State's Counseling Psychology Program. He currently lives in Laurel, MD. Leon's hobbies include scuba diving, flying planes, and just about any sport imaginable.
