To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all of our community we have closed Pacifica’s Lambert campus as of 2:15 pm today, December 6th, and the Ladera campus was closed as of noon. Currently we are planning to reopen Monday morning as usual.
Email, text and other electronic communication may become inoperable at any time as a result of the fire. Please check our website and social media channels for further information.
We will continue working together to ensure we all remain safe, secure and in good health as a community.

The Thomas Fire started on the evening of Monday, December 4th, 2017 near Highway 150 north of Santa Paula. As of 9 a.m. on December 5th, it has burned 45,000 acres and is burning structures in the city of Ventura and near Highway 33. For information regarding the fire, evacuation notices, and road closures please check the Ventura County Fire Department Twitter account and www.readyventuracounty.org.
At this time, both of Pacifica’s campuses are not threatened and remain open with classes scheduled to occur this week. Should this change, students will be notified via email and updates will be posted on www.pacifica.edu. Please be aware that services may be temporarily limited due to power outages and staffing shortages.
Our thoughts are with those affected by the Thomas Fire.
