Marilyn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Pacifica alumna, who has been teaching at Pacifica since 2012, has a full-time practice in Santa Barbara, and provides clinical supervision for the Center for Psychotherapy and Integral Health. Her early clinical experience was with highly traumatized populations of adults and children in community, residential, and inpatient treatment settings. Marilyn’s current clinical interests include the integration of somatic and Jungian/Imaginal psychology for attachment trauma and lifelong growth, with specific clinical expertise in codependency and unmothered women.
Marilyn also has degrees in literature and performance and taught in the Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Fullerton, for 9 years prior to a midlife career change. She and her husband/music partner released their first album of original music in 2026, titled, Always Listening. Her work as a writer, singer, educator and psychotherapist has always focused on the sacred healing power of imagination, creative process, and music.
