Allie is a researcher, clinician, and educator whose work centers on maternal ecopsychology, exploring the intersections of matrescence and ecological crisis. Her research foregrounds how mothers experience and metabolize environmental disruption, with particular focus on what she terms “maternal ecodistress.” Allie completed postdoctoral work at the KHORA Lab at Teachers College, Columbia University with Dr. Aurélie Athan, and is a licensed professional counselor specializing in perinatal mental health through her private practice, Southwest Perinatal Counseling. Her forthcoming book, Mother Juniper: On Matrescence in Ecological Crisis (9th House Press, 2026), braids personal narrative, original research, and earth-based developmental theory. She is also co-editor of the forthcoming collection Mothering in Climate Change Precarity (Texas A&M University Press). Allie is editor of the Journal for Mental Health and Climate Change and directs the Maternal Ecopsychology Certification program.
