Joanna serves as Adjunct Faculty and Thesis Advisor in the MA Counseling Psychology department. In addition, Joanna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Los Angeles, merging Depth Psychology with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and neuroscience as both psychotherapist and Neurofeedback practitioner. Her own research explores the intersection of Ecopsychology, neuroscience, Depth Psychology, culture and creative identity. Joanna is a member of CAMFT and a Diplomat at The Academy of Cognitive Therapy. She maintains a creative and spiritual practice to continue to integrate mind, body, spirit and soul. She enjoys discovering nature and ecology through photography, writing, meditation and the creative arts, with particular interest in folk and outsider art. She has been practicing photography for over 20 years and received her BA in Art from University of California Santa Cruz.
