Michelle serves as Adjunct Faculty in the M.A. Counseling Program at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She teaches Child Psychotherapy, Clinical Practice, Human Growth and Development, Family Systems and Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Assessment and Treatment. Currently, she has a private practice and is a school counselor. Some of her additional work experience has included working for child welfare services, residential treatment settings for abused children, pregnant and parenting teens, domestic and international adoptions, developing and supervising a school-based counseling program and serving as children’s program specialist for a domestic violence shelter. She has also been a parent educator for a local child development center. Michelle has been a guest presenter at U.C.S.B.’s Orfalea Children Center, Family Service Agency, New Beginnings Counseling Center, and Community Counseling Center of Santa Barbara. Michelle has served as the Vice-President of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Santa Barbara Chapter of CAMFT, the advisory board for the Children and Families Commission of Santa Barbara and Hopenet of Carpinteria. She currently serves on the board of directors for Turn the Page for Uganda. Currently, Michelle is writing a children’s book on compassion and resiliency. She also enjoys song writing, singing and has written her first song.
