Naamleela Free Jones

Naamleela F. Jones, Ph.D, is a historian of religions whose research focuses on contemporary esotericism, mysticism, nonduality, and consciousness studies. Her work explores the intersections of Western esotericism, South Asian nondual traditions, and American metaphysical religion, with particular attention to how these cross-cultural transmissions challenge conventional paradigms and shape the global, post-traditional landscape. Her teaching integrates contemplative pedagogies and reflective ways of learning, bringing religious studies into dialogue with depth psychology, philosophy, and contemporary consciousness research. Beyond the classroom, Naamleela is a musical composer, producer, and pianist, and has performed in private venues across North America, Europe, and the South Pacific.
