Pacifica Graduate Institute Appoints a New Director of Admissions

The Department of Admissions is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Director of Admissions, Jessica Rubinstein, M.S.Ed.

Jessica has worked in the Admissions Department at Pacifica for four years, with the last two years serving as the Associate Director of Admissions Operations. She has a passion for diversity, social justice, trauma-informed psychology, and higher education. She has both an eye for administrative detail and a macro vision of bringing Pacifica’s mission to new and diverse communities.

She has prioritized making strong relationships interdepartmentally and is proud of Pacifica’s commitment to community. She would like to thank Pacifica’s faculty, staff, and students for their shared contributions in carrying out Pacifica’s vision. Her notable contributions include transitioning Pacifica Experience Days to their current virtual format during the Covid-19 pandemic, coordinating Pacifica’s international student enrollment, transitioning the department file system to its electronic format, and training the department’s wonderful staff members. She takes pride in providing excellent support to our applicants in partnership with Pacifica’s academic and administrative departments.

Prior to her work in higher education, she worked in the Non-Profit sector providing education and training to Marriage and Family Therapist interns, many of whom were Pacifica Graduate Institute Master in Counseling Psychology students. During that time she learned about the excitement and commitment students had to Pacifica even before she stepped foot on campus. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy with a focus in higher education as she knew it was her professional goal to support learners in attaining their goals in higher education. Her master’s thesis detailed improving mental health services for college students.

Please join us in congratulating Jessica!

Jessica Rubinstein, M.S.Ed.
