- Ph.D., Psychoanalysis, Newport Psychoanalytic Institute
Kristi is a certified psychoanalyst and has been in full time practice for over 30 years. She is currently affiliated with Newport Psychoanalytic Institute and the Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis as a training and supervising analyst, and is on the faculty at NPI. Kristi works from an object relations orientation with a deep appreciation for attachment and relational contributions. Her research on the mind/body connection attunes her to the particular ways in which the body holds the overflow of emotional overwhelm in the form of psychosomatic symptoms. Kristi sees the clinical relationship a sacred space where somatic encapsulaton, as well as other experiences of early trauma and deprivation can be revisited, enacted, and worked through.
