Marilyn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Pacifica alumna, who has been teaching at Pacifica since 2012.  She has broad clinical experience with highly traumatized populations of adults and children in community, residential, and inpatient treatment settings. Marilyn currently has a full-time practice in Santa Barbara and has provided clinical training and supervision in both non-profit and private settings since 2006. Marilyn also has degrees in literature and performance and taught in the Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Fullerton, for 9 years prior to a midlife career change. Marilyn’s clinical interests include the integration of Somatic and Jungian/Imaginal psychology for attachment trauma and lifelong growth. Her work as a writer, singer, educator and psychotherapist has always focused on the sacredness of imagination and creative process. She will soon be releasing her first album of original music written and performed with her husband/musical partner.
