Michael has been a professor of Psychology at California State University San Luis Obispo for 25 years where he has taught both undergraduate and MFT graduate courses in Biopsychology, Psychological Assessment, and Psychopharmacology. He coordinated the graduate program for eight years and supervises student psychotherapy training. He is a Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist with a private practice specializing in Neuropsychology and Forensic Psychology. In his private practice, he has evaluated more than 5,000 patients suffering from severe mental illness or head trauma, and frequently testifies as an expert witness in forensic cases involving competency to stand trial, insanity pleas, sexually violent predators, and mentally disordered offenders. He has over 30 publications and 50 conference presentations related to neuropsychology and forensic psychology. Mike is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Board of Forensic Psychology, and the International Neuropsychological Society.
