Steve is a Jungian psychoanalsyt practicing in San Francisco and Berkeley since 1984, working with adults, couples, children and adolescents. Concurrent with his clinical practice he has taught at the School of Social Welfare at the University of California at Berkeley and the Child and Adolescent Training Program in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Zemmelman also teaches at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco where he serves as Chair of the Extended Education program, as well as at The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley and the Sanville Institute for Clinical Social Work and Psychotherapy. Over the last several years he has published papers on initiation, suicide, Jung and Kabbalah, Jung and Freud, liminality, surviving the Alaskan wilderness, and the Coen brothers.
