PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Graduate Certificate Courses at PEIS present the opportunity to uplevel professional career skills, earn academic credit toward a future graduate degree, earn CEs for licensed professionals, or engage in a deep dive in the latest depth psychological research and emerging applications. Convenient pre-recorded sessions and weekly live sessions allow for engagement with PGI faculty as well as globally recognized depth scholars and course learners from around the world. Subjects offered include Ecopsychology, Ecotherapy, Contemporary Analytical Psychology and Neo-Jungian Studies, Applied Mythology, Applied Somatic Jungian Psychology, and Depth Psychology and Aging. Award-winning writer and best-selling author, Sharon Blackie, is currently teaching “Finding Ourselves in Fairytales: A Narrative Psychological Approach.”

PEIS OFFERINGS
The Continuing Education Webinar Series, comprised of 60- and 90-minute online learning sessions, allows students the convenience of earning continuing education credits from their home or office. Additional online learning communities include Author Spotlights and Careers in Depth series that highlight current research and career-driven applications of depth psychology that Pacifica faculty and graduates are advancing around the world.

PEIS has also recently introduced a Lifelong Learner Membership which offers non-students the opportunity to learn from globally recognized depth scholars and leaders at a nominal monthly or annual fee. The membership offers complimentary access to PEIS’ Author Spotlight series and Pacifica in the World series, as well as discounts to all online and on-campus programs. Members also have access, at no charge, to our growing Pacifica Extension Scholars Video Library that includes recorded sessions with thought leaders and globally recognized depth scholars. Full-time current students at Pacifica also enjoy a unique membership program that allows them both complimentary and discounted access to programs and materials that supplement their graduate degree studies.

Joyce Familara is a Los Angeles native who now makes Santa Barbara her home. She graduated from UCSB and later St. Mary’s College of California for her MFA in Creative Writing-Non Fiction. Joyce worked as a Content Marketing Manager for various small businesses throughout SB county. She later became Director of Marketing for Opera Santa Barbara from 2019-2021. She stepped down in the summer of 2021 to start a family. With over 10 years in digital marketing experience and content development, she is excited to be with Pacifica Graduate Institute to focus on strategic and effective online communications.
