Dear Pacifica Graduate Institute Community, Prospective Students, and Affiliates,
It is with great pleasure that I address you as the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, and I want to take this opportunity to sincerely welcome both our continuing and new students to the this Academic Year.
I am delighted to share some exciting developments that reflect our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the overall growth of our institute. One of our primary focuses has been on enhancing the academic resources and offerings available to our students and faculty.
At the heart of our academic affairs is a commitment to fostering a learning environment that is both rigorous and transformative. Our curriculum, with its unique blend of theoretical depth psychology and practical applications, sets us apart as a leader in depth psychology education. The richness of our academic offerings reflects our dedication to preparing students for meaningful careers, whether as counselors, therapists, community activists, artists, thought-leaders entrepreneurs, or other significant roles.
Our residential model and hybrid program continue to be the pillars of our academic approach, providing students with the opportunity to engage in immersive, collaborative, and experiential learning. These modalities create a vibrant intellectual community that transcends traditional boundaries and promotes a deep exploration of depth psychology.
In keeping with our commitment to adapt and grow, I am excited to announce the launch of two new fully online programs. These programs have been carefully crafted to deliver the same level of academic rigor and excellence that defines our institute while offering the convenience of distance learning. This expansion allows us to reach a broader audience and provide access to our unique educational offerings to those who may not have been able to participate in our residential or hybrid programs.
Our diverse and internationally renowned faculty are active in their fields, advancing scholarship and offering opportunities for students to collaborate on research. Our library services and dissertation office provide high-quality research support. The library is equipped with extensive resources, ensuring that students and faculty have access to a wealth of scholarly materials to support their academic endeavors. The dissertation office offers workshops, resources, and training that empower our students to excel in their research and contribute to the field of depth psychology.
As we prepare for a new academic year, I am truly excited to see what we all can achieve and will be focusing on all that we can do to help our students be successful. The Pacifica community is collaborative, supportive, and caring, and I look forward to finding ways to strengthen that community over the course of the year. To those who are considering joining the Pacifica community, expect to be challenged and stimulated by a rich curriculum where intellectual curiosity is at the core of every program, be ready to take an active role in your learning and to experience transformative education. On behalf of our faculty and staff, welcome to Pacifica!
Sincerely,
Dr. Colin Marlaire, Ph.D.
