Patricia Cane is founder and executive director of Capacitar International, a project in multicultural wellness education that focuses on personal and societal healing and transformation. For over 33 years, Pat has worked with thousands of grassroots and professionals in over 45 countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, using a popular education approach to trauma healing in areas affected by poverty, disasters, domestic and political violence, war, Covid pandemic and climate change. She has developed programs in “body literacy” involving healing methods and wellness education for psychologists, social workers, teachers, care givers, medical professionals, grassroots leaders, spiritual leaders, and people living with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities. She is author of Trauma Healing and Transformation, Capacitar for Children, Refugee Accompaniment, and other Capacitar manuals in different languages. www.capacitar.org.
